Great weather again today – somewhere in the region of 27°c – if Matt’s to be believed. After the holiday yesterday Matt and Alfie were back at the rockface of Eurl Dig-It along with the rest of the team. Even Ronnie who doesn’t actually work for us anymore, but owes a day, turned up to hang shutters. He didn’t arrive until after 10am (everyone else is there at 8am) and used the old excuse of having woken to find that his car had a flat tyre. It later transpired that he had infact drunk too much last night and was nursing an horrific hangover. Points for honesty…?

The people who are renting the house at Bort for the next six months or so rang today to ask if it would be ok to put up some kind of fence between their house and that of the neighbour, a huge specimen of a man, who doesn’t possess a toilet, and as such has been using his wood shed to suspicious ends. They apparently checked up on his shed bound antics whilst he was out at the shops this morning and thankfully decided not to go into the specifics of what was found there - but words have been had with the maire. The second time they phoned today it was to ask if they could cut a couple of centimetres off the plasterboard of the doorway so that the sofa they’d bought this afternoon would fit into the living room – all high drama that end – and really just about the zenith of the dramatics of the day so with that I write off but not without showing the ‘You’ve been framed’ masterclass video as promised last night.
