This week’s musical accompaniment comes from the very attractive and ridiculously overachieving ex-model and professional surfer, Tristan Prettyman.

This week was spent mostly in London, talking to a large company about their website requirements and other bits and pieces of work for the mighty DrawBox…it’s been about five years since I had to sit in a proper meeting with grownups and I had completely forgotten what a complete and utter waste of time and effort they are. One of the attendees was a past master in talking at great length without saying anything at all whilst sucessfully failing to make any kind of decision about anything. At least one of the other blokes in the meeting had the decency to say “I don’t know what we want but I’ll know it when I see it” …. as working briefs go this is one of the least explicit I have had to work with.
My friend Ray (wirth whom we stayed in Kingston) was demonstrating what he had taught his three year old daughter,
Ray “Where’s Daddy going today Rosie?”
Rosie “Work”
Ray “What’s he going to do all day?”
Rosie “Meetings”
Ray “…and what will he talk about?”
Rosie “Rubbish”
…there in the shell of a nut is 99% of most people’s work experience, everyone now look out of your windows and say “I’m mad as hell, I’m not going to take it anymore and I’m going to relocate to the Limousin and buy a nice house off Kevin’s wife so he can have a new roof”
The one big positive of the time was that we now have a very nice chap called Graham working as our sales director for the UK…..hurrah!

Some more work has continued on the back garden before Autumn descends. It seems like such a never ending process I went back to have a look at some of the ‘before’ shots we took when we bought the house and it actually transpires that we are making slow progress.
